Spicy Fried Potatoes

Give fried potatoes a hint of heat by tossing them with spiced vinegar. Sliced peppers add a splash of colour.

  1. Mix the garlic, chillies and cumin in a mortar, then stir in the paprika and vinegar.
  2. Boil the potatoes in a pan for about 15 minutes. Drain and cut into chunks.
  3. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the potatoes until golden.
  4. Add the spice mixture, along with the cut pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and serve.
